District 3 Director Report September
District 3: Cayuga, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, St. Lawrence
This is my first report for district 3 I’ll try and keep it short and to the point.
I have reached out to all the district 3 presidents. All divisions are back to normal operations and having halfway to Saint Patrick’s Day events.
Syracuse. – 5 new members. The Commodore John Barry Division is hosting the Syracuse Irish Festival Friday/Saturday September 10th/11th in downtown Syracuse’s Clinton Square There will be food vendors, and other vendors selling Irish apparel. 7 bands will be playing both days. Syracuse supports several local charities including food pantries.
Auburn – 8 new members 13 applications pending. The JFK Division 1 is hosting the 4th Annual Jack McNabb Memorial Golf Tournament on Sunday September 19th at Meadowbrook Golf Course in Weedsport, N.Y. 9 am tee off. Contact person is Danny Kennedy (315) -283-0382 Auburn will be sending a bus of members to support the Syracuse Irish Festival on September 10th/11th, Auburn supports several charitable organizations including several food banks and pantries.
Utica Division. 5 new members. This past summer the John C. Devereaux, Div. 1 added over $6,000 to their charitable account through various events. They will be participating in the Great American Irish Festival on September 17th-19th which will be at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds in Frankfort, N.Y. doing several raffles to raise money for charities. Utica supports 5 local food pantries. Meetings will resume 9/9/21
Watertown – 5 new members. The Msgr. James A Ruddy Division has added 5 new members and voted on 3 more applicants at their August monthly meeting. Some upcoming events September 13 Commodore John Barry Day Father of the American Navy Irish Flag raising at Watertown city Hall 12:30pm. Watertown supports Saint Mary’s Food Pantry, Feed our Veterans, Life Right a Pro- Life organization in Watertown N.Y. and Molly Keogh Scholarship Program at Augustinian Academy in Carthage N.Y
