District 1 Director Report September

District 1: Albany, Clinton, Columbia, Essex, Fulton, Franklin, Greene, Hamilton, Herkimer, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Warren, Washington

Hello Brothers All, I want to take a minute to introduce myself. My name is PJ Higgitt and I was recently elected as District 1 Director for the NYS Ancient Order of Hibernians. Fulltime I am currently serving as the Undersheriff of the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Department. I am also a retired Army Sergeant Major and Iraq War Veteran. Since my election, I have been able to visit and attend the meetings of the Troy, Albany and Saratoga Divisions.

Hopefully this month, I can attend the other Division meetings in my District. To the members and Presidents I haven’t met, I look forward to doing so. We have scheduled a Capital District Council meeting for Tuesday September 14th at 7pm at the meeting location of our Saratoga Division, Saratoga Elks, 1 Elk Lane, Saratoga. I hope to see each Division represented. Membership is a priority and in my next submission, I want to include the numbers of new members gained in each Division. My Division, Troy, presently has 5 new prospective members. Our condolences go out to our Schenectady brother Owen Cole on the passing of his son.
