Albany Division #5 Hosts Manchester Martyrs Lecture Series

On April 20 2017, Albany LAOH Division #1, Albany AOH Division #5 and the Irish American Heritage Museum co-sponsored a commemorative lecture by Dr. Ruan O’Donnell.

The evening started with presentation of resolution/proclamations from Albany County Legislator Raymond Joyce and Albany City Council Member Joseph Igoe to commemorate the Manchester Martyrs. Ray and Joe are both AOH Division #5 members.

New York State Assemblyman and Staten Island Brothers Michael Cusick was unable to attend the Albany event but sent a Proclamation in support of of the Manchester Martyrs commemoration.



Western NY Divisions Gather for Manchester Martyrs Presentation

Brothers from AOH Divisions in Buffalo, Niagara Falls and Rochester attended a presentation and discussion on The Manchester Martyrs delivered by Dr. Ruan O’Donnell.  Professor O’Donnell is a premier Irish historian and folds a faculty position as Senior Lecturer, University of Limerick. The event was held in the Buffalo Irish Cultural Center on Sunday, April 24, 2017.
