Charter Presented to Thomas Addis Emmet Division 17 of Westchester County

Dan Dennehy, AOH National Director and Westchester County AOH Organizer was on hand to present the “newly minted” official charter from the National Board Ancient Order of Hibernians to the officers and members of the Thomas Addis Emmet Division 17 of Westchester County

Assisting in the presentation on May 7, 2018 was NYS Director Aidan O’Kelly-Lynch and in whose presence, dozens of new division members were sworn into the Order.  In presenting the charter to President James McGlashin (above center), Brother Dennehy commented on how pleased he was to be in the company of such “fine, young Hibernians!”

Brother Dennehy extended congratulations to President James McGlashin and his officers and in particular to Division 17 Treasurer Clive Anderson, owner and president of Pelham Funeral Home who opens his company’s doors to give the divison a meeting space. Congratulations were also offered to Westchester County President Brian Hugh Duffy, National Organizer Tim McSweeney, NYS Organizer Kevin Cummings, NYS Treasurer John Manning and to all those who played a role in brining the new division to fruition.

On Sunday, January 10, 2016 Division 18 Peekskill held The Annual Installation of Officers at the Hibernian Hall in Hudson Valley Irish Center at Verplanck New York. Visiting were New York State President Tim McSweeney, who was the installing Officer and NYS FFAI Chair Ciaran Geraghty, who participated in the Installation with Westchester County President Aidan O’Kelly Lynch and National immigration Chair Dan Dennehy. Division president Clive Cronin was installed for the second term of office. Also in attendance were members of LAOH Division 18 and members of the community and their families.

Yonkers Men’s & Ladies Hibernians Install Division Officers for 2016

The Members of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Myles Scully – Division #1 joined together with members of The Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, Our Lady of Knock – Division #19 to hold an installation ceremony for their Division Officers this past weekend at The Fairways at Dunwoodie Golf Course in Yonkers. This year marked the very first time that the two organizations combined their ceremonies into one.

2015 Marked the first time the Yonkers Men’s and Ladies Divisions held their Installation Ceremonies together.

The Hibernians welcomed LAOH Westchester County President Alice Koraca Geisler who administered to the oath of office to the members of Division #19. The members of Division #1 welcomed AOH New York State Treasurer John Manning and AOH Westchester County President Aidan O’Kelly Lynch, who administered the men’s part of the oath ceremony.

The Officer Installation Ceremony is one of only two rituals of The Ancient Order of Hibernians that is open to the public, the other being the wake ritual for a deceased member.

LAOH Division #19 President Allison Burke and AOH Division #1 President Kevin Ellis both returned for another term of office as a result of annual elections that are held every autumn.

AOH Division 18 Peekskill – Annual Thanksgiving Dinner Dance


The Officers and Members of The Ancient Order of Hibernians, Division #18 of Peekskill, New York are proud to announce that they will be holding their Annual Thanksgiving Dinner Dance on Saturday, November 22, 2014 from 7:00pm – 12 Midnight.

The dinner will be held at The Cortlandt Colonial, 714 Albany Post Road in Cortlandt Manor, New York (914) 739-3900.  The cocktail hour will begin at 7:00pm with dinner and entertainment to follow.  The entertainment will be provided by The Kitty Kelly Band.

AOH Westchester County President Aidan O’Kelly Lynch will also be honored as The Division #18  Hibernian of The Year.
